Over 200 ticketholders were enthralled and bedazzled by tonight’s performance of Mozart’s Cosi’ fan tutte, at Old Town Hall, in Woodbury, Connecticut.
This was another sold-out performance by the Connecticut Summer Music Institute and Virtuosi Orchestra and the Connecticut Summer Opera Foundation (CSOF).
Sopranos Allison Lindsay (Dorabella) and Kerry Lynn Slominski (Fiordiligi) were outstanding in their roles, as were the three male vocalists (Hartley Horn as Don Alfonso, Darius Gillard as Guglielmo, and Daniel Juarez as Ferrando). Nellie Restick was terrific as Despina.
Maestro Adrian Sylveen has molded one of the best chamber orchestras in the Northeast. Adrian and vocal coach and director Jurate Svedaite once again did an outstanding job mentoring these fine vocalists and instrumentalists.
The CSOF team once again did their fabulous work making the evening such a memorable one for our grateful audience. We will be doing it again next summer, so dont miss it !
In the meantime, please join us for our next event, Sunday December 6th at 3 PM, at North Congregational Church, Woodbury, Soprano Roza Bulat and pianist Maria Yefimova, will return to Woodbury, back by popular demand in a command performance, will return fresh from their sold-out May recital at Old Town Hall to dazzle and uplift us with their artistry, with works by Mozart, Chopin and Rachmaninoff as well as holiday favorites.
Ars longa !!
