This production of Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” marks the full-length opera directing debut for the young actor and director Christopher Browner. A native of Waterbury, CT, Browner is a graduate of the Taft School and is currently pursuing a degree in music at Columbia University in the City of New York. He recently directed a 2012 production of Anne Nelson’s play “The Guys” in addition to a staged reading of a Lilla Goettler’s original piece “It Will Steal Your Innocence”, and scenes of Columbia University Performing Arts League’s presentation of “Opera Untapped” both in 2013.

Actor as well as stage director, Browner acted in countless stage productions throughout his high school and college years. As an opera critic, he writes reviews for the Columbia Daily Spectator, and at his blog The Opera Spectator. This summer he will be working for the Santa Fe Opera.
