In commemoration of the death of Frédéric Chopin in October 1849, the music that sprang from his living years, and his resounding legacy, the CT Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra and Chopin Society of CT will sponsor a series of concerts this October. Repertoire includes Chopin’s two sets of etudes for piano, his first piano concerto, and Mozart’s Requiem, which was performed at Chopin’s funeral at the Church of Madeleine in Paris.
