Born in Waterbury, CT, tenor Michael Imbimbo began his career at the age of nine with the St. Thomas Choir in New York City where he toured throughout the United States performing at such places as Carnegie and Avery Fischer Hall under the baton of Gerre Hancock. He had the privilege of working with many great artists, most notably, Jessye Norman, Carly Simon, and Robert Shaw.
Michael was recently seen as Gonzalve in Ravel’s L’heure Espagnole with CT Lyric Opera. Other upcoming  engagements on the East Coast include Spalanzani and Nathanael in Les contes d’Hoffman, also with CT Lyric, and appearances with Dicapo Opera in Tosca, Beauty and the Beast and Iolanta.
Graduate of the McGill University in Montreal, and San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Michael performed throughout the California’s Bay area, and is a winner of several prizes and scholarships.
